Learning Tools that Empower

"I just don't know how to help my child and I don't know where to turn. I've tried all the guides and nothing has helped. There must be a better way."

There is an easier way to help your child

using learning supports called blank graphic organizers...they provide organization, break difficult work down to manageable pieces, make multi-step problem solving easier; help with: computations, early reading, reading to understand, writing: handwriting, brainstorming and structure...strengthen spelling, vocabulary building, and ease difficulty with academics while supporting emotional and behavioral needs.

What is a Blank Graphic Organizer (BGO)?

A blank graphic organizer, (also known as a BGO), is usually a one-page form with blank areas for the child to fill in related ideas or information regarding assigned topics. BGOs can be used to structure writing and aid in: problem solving, mathematical operations, early reading (from just sounds to decoding words), vocabulary study, fluency-building, comprehension tasks, planning, studying, brainstorming, and social-behavioral thinking and support, as well as for other academic subjects.

Blank graphic organizers can be used at home, within homeschooling or classroom instruction for any student, or individually (and might be part of a child’s learning plan*), for organization, planning, choice-making and academic supports, and sometimes used with state assessments.*

*Per qualifications, allowability, and when approved by an ARD or IEP (special education) committee or a Section 504 committee to be included in a child’s IEP (Individualized Education Plan) or IAP (Individualized Accommodation Plan).

“When we feel confident and supported, we have a solid footing for our steps, especially on the steep climbs and difficult paths of life and learning. Empowering Learning Tools is here for you. We’re on this journey together.” -Aim’ee Teague

Meet the Owner and Creator

Aim’ee, herself, is twice exceptional, as are her two daughters, a teenager and one in her early twenties (at the time of this publication). There weren’t as many resources when Aim’ee was a child, so she studied, learned, and developed strategies. She discovered helpful tools over time, which she also utilizes with her children and students. Watching students stumble, feel helpless, and give up before ever getting started is soul crushing as a teacher, as a parent, as that little girl she once was, not having the supports she needed. Through her trainings and journey in becoming a Special Educator and Dyslexia Specialist/CALT, she found the knowledge, tools and strategies needed to finally support her students in more ways than just academics, she discovered how to accommodate and grow each child as an individual, academically, socially, and emotionally.

It was during her years of working with children with learning differences (neurodivergent and gifted learners, those with reading, writing, and math learning differences, and social, behavioral, and emotional struggles), that she found a way to help each unique child access the general education curriculum to the best of their unique ability (which can be really difficult and overwhelming), and to support her students in finding their often-times hidden potential. She helps students reach their individual goals steps at a time while celebrating each bit of progress and success no matter how “small”, and helping to bridge the gaps (whatever they be) so children feel more empowered, even when the end goal seems really high and hard to reach.

She also supports parents and teachers with tools and knowledge to support their children’s needs and help them feel empowered as a parent, a teacher, a mentor, and an important effective member of their child’s team.
